"Sweating Bullets" MEGADETH - COVER - Full Color [ESP/ENG]

Cómo están mis buenos amigos de HIVE? Este es el primer solo que publico de la banda estadounidense de thrash metal Megadeth. Tengo pensado publicar varios solos de esta banda y para comenzar me decanté por el solo del tema "Sweating Bullets", la quinta canción de su quinto álbum que lleva por nombre Countdown to Extinction el cuál fué lanzado al mercado en 1992.

Tema muy pero muy interesante en lo que a composición musical se refiere, me llamó la atención porque prácticamente todo el tema está basado en escalas cromáticas, desde los arreglos de la segunda guitarra, riffs y solo.

How are my good friends from HIVE? This is the first solo I'm posting from the American thrash metal band Megadeth. I plan to publish several solos of this band and to begin with I chose the solo of the song "Sweating Bullets", the fifth song of their fifth album called Countdown to Extinction which was released in 1992.

Very, very interesting song as far as musical composition is concerned, it caught my attention because practically the whole song is based on chromatic scales, from the arrangements of the second guitar, riffs and solo.

Hubo un tiempo en que escuché bastante esta banda en especial este álbum que es una de sus mejores producciones, me gusta tanto como los álbumes que le siguieron "Youthanasia" y "Cryptic Writings" que también están dentro de mis favoritos.

El solo se inicia con armónicos en el traste 12 (todas las cuerdas) para luego continuar con una escala cromática desde la primera hasta la sexta cuerda. Tiene una frase intermedia donde se utiliza la escala pentatonica y eólica de E menor para finalizar con un cromatismo ascendente en las dos primeras cuerdas; es interesante el sonido que logró y la sensación de tensión que genera el solo.

There was a time when I listened to this band a lot, especially this album which is one of their best productions, I like it as much as the albums that followed "Youthanasia" and "Cryptic Writings" which are also among my favorites.

The solo starts with harmonics on the 12th fret (all strings) and then continues with a chromatic scale from the first to the sixth string. It has an intermediate phrase where the pentatonic and Aeolian scale of E minor is used to finish with an ascending chromaticism on the first two strings; it is interesting the sound achieved and the feeling of tension that generates the solo.
