Mitsubishi Lancer evo 1
firs produced evo was in 1992. He has 4G63T motor, factory homologated, i was 4 wheel powered, with 247 HP. That model was beast for that time period, but there was GSR model of Evo with 1240 kg with air condition, radio. But there was third version i would say "hardcore" kode name RS. They remove all stuff like air condition, radio, electric powered glasses, even they remove back wind schreen wipers to reduce weight. IT all resulted with reduced weight, 1170kg, from 0-100 kmh in 5 seconds.
EVO 2
you can say that Evo 2 is update from Evo 1,
they reduced wheel distance for 15 mm, made wider wheels, 15 inch rim alloys, power was increased on 256 horse power.
EVO 3
Aggressive lines, much better downforce, 270 ks. Tommi Makinen was leader on the world rally scene with Evo3, so it was good PR.
EVO4
Biggest changes was fog lights on the front bumper, which show main point of this car. It is rally car, twin-scroll turbo charger increased 10 hp. The biggest inovation was Active Yaw Control which basically sends bigger amount of momentum to wheels which have better grip.
EVO5
This model looks much different than other Evo models. It has rear wing, 17 inch wheels, and 300 hp:D.
EVO6
Better pistons, bigger intercooler, bigger turbo. Wheels was made in combination of aluminium and titanium. 0-100 khm in 4.4 seconds.
EVO7
New chassis from Cedia. Active rear differential and AYC and LSD.
It was the firs Evo model in USA market. It was around 270 hp, it was now rival with Subaru Impreza WRX STI. Impreza had 29 hp more.
EVO9
Same engine about 300 hp, they started to produce caravan versions. Smaller turbo lag.
EVO10
My dream car :D. They replaced old 4G63 engine with new 4B11 with 295 hp. It has around 1560kg which made id less agile on the steering wheel, and less direct. It has the biggest amount of electronics if we compare it with older models, which makes good job with diferentials .
