Human are social being and there are a lot of things we have to learn in order to adapt. I know people who often say they are shy but what they don’t understand is that there are times when you have to speak in public, social gatherings and other events. So it is important we master the act of public speaking even if it is not to the expect level.

Emotional intelligence is another aspect we would want to invest in. It is very important and it shape how we relate to people around us. Like you said, our career also matters a lot, we can’t afford to be mediocre at what bring food on our table.
