Hmm, this is deep. What is the essence of money and resources we have that doesn’t take care of human basics needs and doesn’t improve the quality of life. Money or profit on its own is useless if not harnessed into a good use. Like you said, if you win a lottery and just put it under your pillow nothing will work. That is the state of things in the world.
People talk about investing, making money but only few talk about improving quality of life. It is always about what can I make and not mostly on how can I improve the quality of life whether in term of business or job. It is the same thing, you will hear people saying the sole of a business is to make money even if it has to be to the detriment of the services offer to the people.
The society will certainly be a good place if we all value the quality of life of the people. Many of us have forgotten that we are only here for a short period of time.
