Steemit is a:

• Decentralised Autonomous Application
• Social Media Blogging Site
• A trojan horse(I mean this in a very positive way): It's a way to hide the ulterior motive (good money/cryptocurrency adoption) in the gift(being paid for producing quality content). I believe that Steemit is more of a fairer means of producing and distributing money than an ordinary social media.
