Yesterday(10/02/2018), I was at the launching of Digital Abundance/Cryptohub. I met with a lot of Cryptocurrency Investors, Developers, Enthusiasts, Traders and Entrepreneurs.

I had traveled by air from Enugu to Lagos after the Enugu meet-up to be able to attend this event. It cost me a too much SBDs and comfort but it was worth it. My goal was to promote Steem and get the attention of investors and entrepreneurs from Nigeria. We need Nigerian whales and investors in this space. And I also wanted to learn and rub shoulders with the big boys in the Nigerian cryptospace.

One of the people that I had the opportunity to talk with was Bashir Aminu. He is the founder of Cryptogene.

Cryptogene is a multi-platform blockchain hub. It’s an eLearning platform, a digital asset exchange, a decentralized marketplace, all in one blockchain.

Bash described it as

a community where Nigerians and indeed people of all nationalities could get acquainted, learn and understand the emerging cryptocurrency ecosystem.

Steem has come a long way. I remember the first time I talked to Bash about Steem. He said he looks like a Ponzi scheme. Bash is someone who is more knowledgeable about cryptocurrency than me and this made me worried for a few minutes. I was very glad to hear him (as you would if you watch the video) praise Steem and say that Steem is one of those cryptocurrencies that has real-world value.

This is just part one of the video clip. I’ll add the second half in another post because uploading lengthy videos to Dtube can be frustrating.

P.S.
Notice that I was wearing a Dtube branded shirt…
Some folks were like “What the heck is Dtube?”
I told them!

There is too much noise in the background of the video. Please pardon me.

Enjoy!
