Walking Around Antipolo City During Super Typhoon Carina (Part 1)
As of today Super Typhoon Carina still hitting the whole region of Luzon including our town. Today at 1:00 PM (GMT) time I decided to go outside to walk around to find out how is life outside during the typhoon. When I stepped outside I really felt the heavy rain it was super heavy unlike the normal days without typhoons plenty of people walking in the street but not today most of the street was almost empty.
I started to walk along P. Oliveros Street As you can see it's really dark outside looks like at night on normal days that street is full of vehicles but today few vehicles across the street.
In the right corner of this building a lot of small food businesses are open every day but today most of them are closed.
Luckily most of the supermarkets and grocery stores are still open so the people can buy the goods.
Look out at this image it is so dark I was waiting there when I was taking this image because that road is an intersection.
This food stall is open they sell different kinds of street food like "Sisig" and "Lechon".
This steep road is a pathway to the Antipolo Cathedral every day a lot of vehicles across the street head to the church but today it's few.
This is the famous cathedral in the whole province of Rizal every day many visitors from other municipalities visit the church. Earlier I saw the cathedral is open and I saw a few visitors praying inside of the cathedral.
This mall is located outside of the cathedral and it's open to visitors they can able to go to the mall to have some fun during the typhoon.
Today we facing a super typhoon and we really don't know when the typhoon stop but the good thing is even though this typhoon Carina is a super typhoon we still have electricity, water and most of the grocery stores are open. I pray for my fellow Filipino's hope no one dies be safe.
