This poem gives a little background to Nigeria's Economic situation, our attitude to economic growth and couple weird stuffs that happened recently.
As much as the situation seems hopeless, I express my hope in me and a few other youths who are working assiduously to make things better.
I love my country and we are Great People and without any iota of doubt, a Great Nation.

WELCOME TO NIGERIA
.
Mysterious snake swallows #36millon; wow
Rat chases the president from his office; how?
Cows have become more important than humans beings now
Welcome to Nigeria where animals are beginning to take power
.
.
A BBN housemate rakes away #45million only.... Sighs
Yet the reward for a First Class graduate is a whooping #10000....smiles
Our value system has gradually shifted
Welcome to Nigeria, perhaps you haven't heard
.
.
Welcome to Nigeria where we focus more on consumption rather than production
We enjoy so much hardship but yet unequivocally crave liberation
We have gradually left the farms for the 'masses'
And run to the cities to release more green house gases
.
.
In all of these my spirit refuse to dampen
Resonating with a higher frequency
I'm sure there are so many more that'll make things happen
Who will respond to this consuming emergency
.
.
I still see Chimamanda Adichie
I see the ingenuity of kennyblaq's comic
I see josephdavidrichboy; the star stuck in traffic
I still see youths genuinely strive for a better nation
.
.
I still love my country so much
Even though crime rate increases by a direct proportion to the number of churches
I still see a perfect blend of Talent, Passion and Hardwork
In all of these, I still see ME.
