I can tell I'm looking for an authority but can find none that is trustworthy and organized. I've been through some particular experiences that made me distrust the church and the government completely and irreversibly. The local liberal groups are largely apolitical. As a healthy opposition to the gov-t, there are also nationalists with varying degrees of religiousness (the hateful dogmatic kind of religion). The latter usually fight and disrespect the former. There is no sorting them out.

I'm confused, it feels like a new system of values must be built from scratch, which is overwhelming.
