The problem with steem is not that whales won't vote for us, its that Steem is not designed to reward high quality content. Just like in the real world, where for the last 40 years or so, all the gains have gone to the top (capital), steem is basically an oligarchy. Many (but not all) large steem holders are simply gaming the system to reward themselves and their friends. As to people marching and complaining to the government, the truth is that we should all be doing that, because most governments (certainly the UK, EU, and US) have created this system by supporting neoliberal economic policies that are designed to create inequality and make it difficult to actually do better.
