Fantastic photos. As to the "removing the window metaphor" I don't think it is accurate to say that refugees are enemies or are invading. This is the kind of Trump rhetoric that is inspiring white nationalist terrorism here in the US. As inequality, war, corruption and climate change increase instability, more and more people will seek refuge in more stable countries. It is unfortunate to me that many Americans can't seem to understand just how bad south Americans have it, such that they would risk everything to travel to a country where a president, a political party, and around 40% of the population villifies them, calls them an infestation, rapists, and murderers. The truth is that just about anyone facing the situation these individuals are in, would seek to go elsewhere at great cost. Yes, this poses great challenges for the countries they seek refuge in, but we are not a species bound by instinct, but one that is capable of intellect and problem solving. The fundamental issue today is that our leaders are not actually discussing problems and solutions, but instead using refugees for political gain. Too many, at least here in the US, are also unwilling to actually engage in defining problems and seeking rational solutions. This brings out the worst in humanity, as we see at many Trump rallies.
