I play at an open mic once a month and the songs i play are originals of mine.
I would enjoy going to more open mics but am a bit nervous about how the crowd would react as they are songs no one has heard before.
Have a jam session tomorrow though which i am looking forward to.
Also, i've just got a Line 6 HD500x looper pedal (here's a link to a review https://www.axedr.com/pod-hd500x-complete-review/ ), which i am currently getting quite sweaty playing about with, i hope to include this in my next open mic, whilst still writing some more songs, although it does take a while to transfer my current songs onto a looper and get a good effect. The thing with the looper is it allows you to solo over your rythem track, which is great for practicing.
