We sort of had to get married sort of in a rush as it was a major hassle to stay together when we always needed to apply for visas to visit each other (but at that time there were quite some countries in Eastern Europe where we could meet without applying for any visas ... I have fond memories of our travels there), so we had a proper wedding party only two years after our de-jure wedding. We also sort of had two wedding parties, the "proper" planned one two years after our wedding, but we also had a wedding party in a park in Oslo, involving champagne and ananas and no guests except the random people we met in the park. It was nice too :-)
