Greetings dear family of Steemchurch, the peace of God invades our heart always.
We need a revival in our lives, based on the book of Habakkuk.
"Listen, Lord, your word, and I was scared, give life, Lord, your work in the middle of time to know, for your anger remembers mercy" (Habakkuk 3: 2).
God created the Church and everything in it is his work. If you were born again, God has a work in your life! There is certainly a place for you in the body of Christ. It is necessary to understand that not all will be pastors, praise ministers, but all received the ministry of reconciliation and can be used to lead people to Christ.
"All this is the work of God, who reconciled us to himself for what Christ did for us and gave us the mission to announce this same reconciliation" (2 Corinthians 5:18).
We can not think that our conversion and sanctification come through our efforts and that is why we must always be united in Christ in order to bear fruit. But from time to time we deviate from the Source and then only God has the power to bring the breath of life back to us.
That's why I want to present 3 reasons why we need personal revival:
1) We have failed in our behavior
Nowadays it is easy to be a member of the church. The number of evangelicals has increased, but does that mean that the number of dishonest people has decreased? And the number of vices? Gain, bad luck? Our generation is equal or worse than any other era. We have a habit of criticizing the politicians of our nation, but do not we act like them? Before all that, we can only come to the conclusion that we need revival!
2) We have failed in our conversations
Observe the conversation of the believers around you. For many, it seems that the only satisfaction is to find fault with the other brothers and criticize them. They talk about all matters, except their faith and their values. The book of James says that all stumble, fail, but whoever does not stumble over the tongue, becomes a mature person, managing to have self-control (one of the fruits of the Spirit).
"We all stumble in many ways If anyone does not offend in word, he is perfect (complete), and also able to restrain the whole body" (James 3: 2)
3) We have failed in our communion with God
Although our conduct is impeccable and we speak of our faith, I can say that we are failing in our fellowship with God.
. What is the last time you have torn your heart with God?
. What is the last time you felt sad for having sinned?
. Could it be that we feel more pleasure in the things of the world than with the things of God?
I have already shown that we need a revival. Now I will point out the solution according to the Word of God.
1) Habakkuk prayed: Stir up your work, O Lord!
This is the problem: we want revival, but we do not pray for it. We have to cry! But what makes someone look for a revival?
a) When you are not satisfied with your spirituality.
b) When you hear someone say that you are experiencing the move of God in your life.
c) When he realizes that he is insensitive about people and the presence of God.
2) Do not make any decision on your own
Do not say: I'm going to get out of here today and I'm going to kindle myself. Instead, say: Revive Your work Lord! God expects us to seek more, but we must always understand that only the Holy Spirit can make changes in our heart and act where we will never achieve in our human strength.
3) Sign in the true doctrine
Today people change doctrines as well as change clothes. One hour they think they can do everything and at another time they think that everything is forbidden. Some claim only a "light" gospel and others are too hard on the sheep, forgetting to exercise mercy and present the God of love. The secret is to be biblical, without worrying if people like it. The fact of wanting to please everyone has cooled the Church in these days.
Do you want a revival in your life and church?
So know: you do not need a new pastor or a new ministry of praise. You just have to cry out for life. As well as a stop locomotive, which does not need to be replaced. Simply put firewood and the steam will make it move.
