In this post, we will explain how to make cheap international calls with your mobile phone easily. If we now need to talk to someone from another country, we use the phone less and less, using other alternatives such as Skype, WhatsApp or similar. Unfortunately, sometimes this is not possible, since our partner may not be available through these platforms.
Therefore, on those occasions where it is required to contact someone from another country and we cannot make use of platforms such as Skype, or similar, being necessary therefore the use of the conventional telephone, we can make use of very economic alternatives such as Otubio. Thanks to this, we can make cheap calls to Nigeria from our mobile, as we will explain in this post.
The first thing we have to do is to hire an Otubio credit that allows us to make calls to international numbers from the mobile phone economically and easily.
Once hired, we must install the Otubio mobile application on our mobile device. This application allows the use of our new line from the mobile phone, so that we can make cheap international calls, either from the conventional line, or from our new line. The use of the line is made through the Internet, so for its use we will use our data line or a WiFi connection.
Integrate with Android: If we activate this option, when dialing any phone number the device will ask us if we want to use the normal line or the Otubio. This option is useful if we are going to make heavy use of our new line, that is, if we are going to make many international calls. If this option is not active, every time we want to make a call through our Otubio we must first open the application on our mobile phone.
Always available: This option is useful if in addition to making calls we also wish to receive them. When activated, the device can receive calls through our SIP line without having to have the application open at all times. This consumes more battery, since it requires having the application always alert in the background.
Available when connected by WiFi: This is similar to the previous option, but with the difference that will only be activated when we are connected to a WiFi network.
Only for outgoing calls: With this, the application is only activated only when we make calls. If our SIP line is contracted only to make calls and not to receive them, that is, they do not have a telephone number associated, this option is the most intelligent, since it will minimize battery consumption.
My operator allows us to make VOIP calls: This option must be activated if we want to make calls through our data rate, that is when we do not have a WiFi connection.
Once the application is configured, click on Save. The next step will be to create an account to be able to make and receive calls through their app, for this we must click on Add Account.
