I recently viewed an episode of 60 Minutes, titled “Lords, Spies and Predators” which focuses on a British secret network of high office holders such as diplomats, members of parliament, members of the cabinet, judges, intelligence and police officials who perpetrated lewd, sadistic, sexual acts on children.
Many of these men are now dead. Many are not, and still hold prestigious positions.
Some of their victims are missing, or dead. Like 15 year-old Martin Allen who disappeared in 1975, and whose brother was told by police that if he kept saying that he thought Martin was taken by someone high-up, he could “get hurt”.
Boys and girls as young as six years old, were plucked primarily from children’s homes to satisfy the sexual needs of depraved men hiding behind a façade of respectability, wealth and power.
Some of their victims are still alive. They bear the scars. In this documentary, three of them tell of their experience. You can see the pain on their faces, you can hear it in their voices. Raped twice, three times a week. Picked out of a line-up of sorts as if they were merchandise at the market for the evening’s entertainment. Groomed for sexual service. Tacitly intimidated into silence. It is both heartbreaking and disturbing to watch. Heartbreaking because of the damage and the suffering it has caused and the lives it has destroyed. Disturbing because it is hard to wrap one’s head around the fact that such abominable acts would be perpetrated in the first place, and on children.
No less disturbing is the cover-up by the powers that be. Ex-Detective Inspector Kevin Ashby who was on the case at the time relates that the investigations into government officials were stopped by orders from above. Despite sufficient evidence, there were no prosecution. According to an article that appeared the Guardian in 2015, “he allegations centering on Dolphin Square, a 7.5-acre, 1,250-flat complex by the Thames, include claims that boys in nearby Lambeth care homes were recruited as rent boys and ferried to the apartments for violent orgies where VIPs, defence and Whitehall officials, establishment types, as well as Tory MPs (one “cabinet minister”), were said to be participants. The Yard has spoken of “possible homicide” being committed. Historical and more recent allegations have been backed by Labour MP John Mann, who first encountered them as a Lambeth councillor in the 80s, but was told by police contacts that their inquiries had been stopped on orders from superiors.” Here is the link to the complete article: https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2015/mar/17/westminster-child-abuse-paedophile-ring-failure
Then 60 Minutes regales us with the appearance of Thomas O’Caroll, a British writer, pro-paedophile advocate, former chairman of the now defunct Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE), a smug individual reframing the sexual exploitation of a vulnerable underage child into the “free, willing, uncoerced involvement of the child” and claiming that “if they were traumatized they wouldn’t have gone along”, and that any traumatization was caused “many years later as a result of being told that they have been abused”. It was hard not to puke all over the screen, but when his tongue went on a lip-licking frenzy as he was chewing on words like “erotic contact with children”, I had reached my limit. Good thing he got up and ended the interview, but he’s still around somewhere drooling over some young flesh.
The Paedophile Information Exchange (PIE) was established in 1974 and officially disbanded in 1984. The group campaigned for the legal age of consent to be lowered to four. Yes, FOUR. For what it’s worth, Wikipedia has some interesting information here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paedophile_Information_Exchange
Here are some names of the perpetrators. I will include their honors and titles so as to highlight the glaring incongruence between the veneer and the vice. Think gold-plated shit and you have the idea.
As to the others, hell is stoking its furnace. In the meantime though, more needs to be done to bring them to justice. There is not much written about it these days. In 2014, the Home Office admitted that 114 files missing from the 'Westminster paedophile ring”. Some of these files had been passed on to the then-Home Secretary Leon Brittan for investigation. Mmmm, I wonder how and why they disappeared? Surprise, surprise, Brittan is one who is now rotting in hell with the other pervs.
At any rate, more needs to be done to support the victimes of sexual abuse and exploitation.
I have found a British website “created as a tool to give survivors of child sexual abuse a voice and a platform to name their abusers”, and here is the page pertaining to the PIE:

I have not found a comparable US site, but here are some resources if you are in the US: http://preventchildabuse.org/resource/preventing-child-sexual-abuse/ and https://www.rainn.org/articles/adult-survivors-child-sexual-abuse
If you wish to know more on the Martin Allen abduction and possible murder:
In closing my question is this:
It is now 2018. The Telford criminals are just barely brought to justice after years of allegations and botched up investigations. Whether it is select clubs of powerful politicians or gangs of Pakistani men, how come we place such little value on the protection of our children? Haven’t we had enough? How can we look at ourselves in the mirror if we don’t speak up? Because, if we don’t speak up, we collude with evil.
