Students challenges that affects life outside academics

hey hivers, honestly it's been a great time for me being on this platform and I'm really happy for being here. My utmost thanks goes to Hive account@starstring01 for giving me the privilege to explore on this platform. Also I would like to give thanks to the very honorable community @OCD for being my shoulder whenever I publish a post and I would also like to give thanks to every other individual on this platform for up voting my post whenever it is being published.

In this very post I'd like to to make references to my presence on Hive as my activities outside academics. So I'd like to share my thoughts and the difficulties I've been facing as a student which is in turn affecting my presence on this very platform. However, I think it would make more sense to call this a challenge and not difficulties because in life when we see things as difficulties it may naturally prompt fear in our mind but on the other hand, if we see things as challenges we may eventually deduce a method of handling the situation.

My so called challenges on this very platform doesn't has to do with not making enough income yet or not having enough follower but rather has to do with my consistency.

Just like I mentioned in my introductory post that I'm currently studying an engineering course which we all know as one of the most challenging course of study. well, in few months time I'd be in my fourth year in this great citadel of learning.

I believe this platform is full of learned people and I know we all know what it means to be in an institution studying engineering, because this is a course of study whereby the higher you go in the line of study, the harder and tougher it becomes.

So in essence, keeping tabs with my academics kind of retards me from my consistency on this platform but as much as I'm trying to keep up with consistency on this platform, I'm as well trying to be effective in my academics.

I'd like to discuss some of the few reasons why students face lots of challenges in any of their task outside academics.

NOT HAVING ENOUGH SLEEP

Scientific study made us understand that the best way to keep up with good and sound health is to have at least 8 hours of sleep every day. This has been a tough task to keep up with as a student because every student will always have a pending task he or she needs to attend to which in some cases may take hours before it gets done. This can be an obstacle for someone who is anticipating to have 8 hours of sleep.

SELF STUDYING

In every institution, just as we normally have beautiful minded lecturers lecturers that would always try his or her possible best to bring out the best out of his/her students by dishing out knowledge effectively, we also have the lazy ones that finds it so difficult and stressful to teach students the way they are supposed to be taught. This lazy lecturers are the reason behind students having to sit down and learn things on their own. This self studying consumes lots of time from students most especially for slow learning students and this doesn't give them the chance to focus on other things outside education.

WORKLOADS

In this aspect, I'd like to make my school as a reference point because it's relative to the topic. Before the current semester we're currently in, we had an industrial training program which lasted for about 9 weeks. Just immediately after the training program, we had to resume back to school and ever since the resumption, we've been busy doing one thing or the other which by the end of each day will definitely make you feel exhausted and find it difficult to attend to other things. This is quite an huddle that definitely would affect your outside life.

THRIFTY COLLEAGUES

Some times when you aren't chanced or privileged to source for good and effective course materials for you to study with. If by any chance you found out that some of your mates has the perfect material you needed to study with, some of them finds it difficult to assist you with the materials you need which means you'll have to source for it yourself and this might suck the precious time you're meant to stipulate for better things.

DATA SUBSCRIPTION

You might be surprised to see this as one of my reasons. The issue of corona virus brought virtual learning into most schools and in this regard, students are expected to be fully grounded with data subscription. which means having to download lecture videos and other lecture materials from online classroom which are of large data size really affects and consumes lots data subscription immensely most especially when the lecturer has failed to regulate the amount of data size to be uploaded and this is definitely a minus for a student who finds it very difficult to keep up with constant data subscription.

TIME MANAGEMENT

Sometimes in life we like to say to ourselves that "Common there are 24hrs in just one day, this should be more than enough to make multiple plans". Well this argument really works, but in some cases it doesn't. As a student, knowing that you have some multiple unfinished work in some of your courses which you know you have to keep tabs on will definitely exhaust your time management in an unexpected way.

DEPRESSION

The above reasons will definitely bring out depression as the result. This depression in some cases gives health or psychological issues, it can as well affect the physical look of a student. This surely makes you feel tired when you're about to do anything outside academics.

Let's keep in mind that as much as education brings lots of stress and struggle, it still remains the best legacy. This is the reason why well educated people are respected in every ramifications where vital knowledge is being called for.

Above all, I'd be finishing in this institution very soon and by then I definitely would be consistent and available on Hive. Well, this is just a thought I felt like sharing with you guys. Much thanks and thanks for the unimaginable love and support 🥰🥰
