Voice is the proposedsolve all attention market problems that is going to disrupt what we call social media. And its going to be launched by EOS.IO by blockone very soon. The June event made this very clear that the fabric and traditional social media takes advantage of its users and the users in turn get used instead of an equal mutual benefit between the two. The tradition model of social media just sells off users and anyone with the right amount of money can sell to you any information be it right or wrong. As such, the rich folks have leveraged this model to become much more richer without giving voice to the middleclass and the poor. Voice is here to solve this problem.

Steemit promises the same and wants to disrupt the traditional social media. The blockchain on which the two platforms run are similar as at now as steem has also enabled coin creation and dapp creation. Steemit was created by Dan Larimer some years ago in order to get a community/niche for crypto enthusiast. It was a successful experiment and was handed to Ned Scot to take charge. Now Steemit has almost 2800 active daily users who keep the blockchain active all the time. Its awesome how far steem has come far.

SIMILARITIES BETWEEN STEEMIT AND VOICE

They are both dapps running on separate blockchains with similar concensus system. Steem and EOS both work on delegated proof of stake. They both have a reward mechanism and as such users get token incentives when they interact with the platform. Traditional social media doesnt have these features and this brings a distinguishing feature between the blockchain social media and traditional ones.

DIFFERENCES BETWEEN STEEMIT AND VOICE

Though the two might seem very similar in terms of intent, the way through which this is realised is far apart. From the B1 event, voice cannot be bought by individuals to change the dynamics and as such it can only be earned and used to increase your publicity. Steem tokens on the other hand is on many market place and it takes only money to be on top of the trending page. This might be a downside to the aim of these social media as wrong ideas could easily be sold to the user base. Voice is yet to be launched

CONCLUSION

The two platforms promises much and they can all equally survive. Just like how twitter and facebook and all the other various forms of communications coexist. Its possible and there is enough space for them all. Voice promises alot including a UBI system. The company behind is have very strong ethics to work and hasnt failed to deliver. It promises more. But there is a saying that goes the devil you know is better than the angel you know not. As such steemit remains the king until further proven otherwise. We have an amazing product to enjoy here.
