Steem has been transforming lives for a long time with many of its wonderful use cases. A few of which i will be talking about in this write up. I joined steemit about a 2 years ago as i stumbled upon quite a stable currency called sbd during my trading life on bittrex. I read the whitepaper and was further more enthused about the opportunity steemit presented as a way of socialising and further more making rewards from it.
Steem has grown from just a blockchain for rewarding people who want to communicate to a chain where applications can run on and presents avenue of rewarding application users.
Splinterlands: This isnt the first application on steem that i have tried using but it is by far the most inovative and cross chain platform i have encounted on the steem chain. Splinterlands is a game which was launched by 
Steem-engine: As its name sound, its an engine for steem and unlike any of the other applications, steem-engine forms the new revolution of the steem blockchain. With increasing transaction speeds pers second on the steem blockchain, a developer has managed to allow steem users create tokens and give each token a use case if required. Steem-engine runs on a separate chain and it crosslinks on the main steem chain making use of data stored on the steem chain. In summary, each user can create a token or cryptocurrency without learning all the programming needed. Its an awesome tool and its live and running.
