Ezekiel 18: 31- 32
31 Rid yourselves of all the offenses you have committed, and get a new heart and a new spirit. Why will you die, people of Israel? 32 For I take no pleasure in the death of anyone, declares the Sovereign Lord. Repent and live! Amen
The word of God is always straight forward with the inspiration of the Holy Spirit guiding you as you read. Today as I read this scripture, Repent and live echoed in my ears and mind and it's still echoing as I write this post. What have you been doing that you need to repent from? This message goes to each and everyone of us, we ought to repent from the very sinful nature which begot us through the adamic era. We need to come to Jesus Christ to be established under His feet so that we can be made righteous.
Now, many forms of sins have been clothed to look like its holy. Sin is now analogical to Lions now wearing sheep cloths trying to deceive us.
Now when we come to our Universities, fornication has become the norm of the day. We sin with impunity and believe there is nothing even wrong with sleeping with your girlfriend. The times have change and the norm and standards of the society can no longer be called the standard of Christianity. Christianity and society are now far apart that we cannot accept the norms of the society.
Where the bible says
"be honest in all your doing",
society says
"you can cheat, evade tax and be dishonest too.
So long as that gives you advantage over your competitions and you are not caught yet, you are a good businessman! Really?
The uncomfortable truth that many believe is that the people of the world act as though they have no judgement waiting to be passed on them.
James 1: 14-15
The wages of sin is death (to be cut off from God).
Apostle James explains that evil desire gives birth to sin and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death.
Today, I wouldn't talk much. The verse above says it all as the wages of sin is death(spiritual death) . Repent before you face your physical death where there will be no chance for repentance.
Pray, let us rid ourselves of all offences and ask God for a new heart and spirit; one that desires to be like Him! Repent & Live.
(Ezekiel 36:26)
Stay blessed!!
