If there is a long holiday, of course I prefer to go to a more beautiful place, but because of the hustle and bustle of work, visiting the urban forest alone is very encouraging for me.
City Forest Area
Gelora Bung Karnoo has always been an easy choice for Jakartans to spend the weekend, aside from the sports arena, there are also many open green areas that are very family-friendly. Public transport is also very easy and there are many options such as: trasjakarta, subway, electric train.
After running about 4.5 kilometres, I relaxed for a while in the urban forest. Many young couples, groups of young people, and even some families were enjoying their time together.
In addition to the trees and grass that are cared for, there is also an artificial lake that adds to the beautiful impression in this area. In some areas there are place in the form of steps to sit on. Why does it look like a cemetery at first glance? LoL. But the area is cosy because there are some trees that shade the seats.
In addition to the seating area, there are also clean and well-maintained toilets. It adds to the cosiness. I also wish there were more green spaces like this in the middle of a busy city. I wasn't alone yesterday, I relaxed with my friends and talked about many things. Especially about mental health.
We're both concerned about mental health issues at large, so having a discussion while enjoying the fairly clean air and avoiding noise pollution was a gift in itself.
This is my first time to go to the Urban Forest, for some reason, even though I often go to GBK, but this is the first time I've been here. Oiya, for the urban forest, it is closed for Monday. It looks like it's used for maintenance, so it's only natural that it takes one day off.
