I would love to share what I use, what I find great about the product and will post the cost of everything too!
Everyone is different and might have a different way of doing things but this is MY way and I have had success.
Let’s start with a moisturizer, my favorite is Estée Lauder Day Wear, it’s a greenish blue container with a gold cap, $54 sounds like a ton but it makes your skin feel amazing, soft and healthy. I have dry and oily skin, I also fall between combination too. If you would like a cheaper alternative, I would go with Clinique Dramatically Different, it’s a yellow container and does pretty much the same thing as Estée Lauder. The cost of this product is $27, that’s a $27 difference so it would definitely help the bank a little more! Remember not to use a huge glob if either Estée Lauder or Clinique just a little goes a long way...🏃🏻♀️
After the moisturizer has set into the face, My next step is to place an all over primer so it will hold and keep the makeup together. Not gonna lie, I sometimes forget to put this on but it sure does make a difference by the end of the day, my makeup is falling apart lol.. Givenchy Mister Mat Primer does wonders, it makes your oily or combination skin feel great, look great and lasts a long time. The cost of this will be $38, it’s not bad for what it does. A second primer option, that is a little cheaper but does prettt much the same thing will be Master Primer by Maybelline, it’s good but not “amazing”.. that cost will be around $7-$8 depending on which drug store you go to! 💆🏻♀️
Next is FOUNDATION! Aka beauty life savor..
I am absolutely IN LOVE with Tarte Amazonion Clay, it matches my skin perfectly, feels great and is full coverage in my eyes but it’s not thick and heavy, it’s lightweight! I will tell you my “cheap secret”... I purchase this through QVC because for one it’s cheaper because it includes the brush. If you buy it in the store, the brush is $34 and the foundation is $39, that is $73 not including tax, yuck! Go to QVC for that!
If you would like a cheap alternative for a foundation, I would recommend either L’Oréal Infallible PRO MATTE which is $12 OR Revlon Color Stay foundation which is about $12-$13. They aren’t as amazing as Tarte Amazonian Clay but it will do the trick. 🙅🏻♀️
Next up is Eyeshadow. I swear upon Morphe, have you ever heard of this product before? I found out about it, I would say three years ago... omg it has done wonders! It lasts forever, goes on perfectly, it’s not messy, it’s smooth, and the colors are so pigmented.. it’s aftually pretty damn cheap for the huge palette you get. I pay $23 plus there is shipping costs too so I would say about $30? I also love Urban Decay, all palettes are great but they typically run about $54 each. They last long and they have a huge variety and they have great sales on Ulta or Sephora so look out for those... I will post about it when I see the deals going on! I purchased some for Black Friday and paid $25, half the price!
Another good, cheap eyeshadow would be NYX, it does pretty much the same thing as the other palettes, doesn’t last as long but it works... they run about $6-$15. I am usually a smoky eyeshadow type of gal so you’ll see me wearing gray, brown, black, sparkles and shimmers 🤳🏼😍
Next is eyeliner and mascara!
I honestly buy cheaper eyeliner because to me it works the same. I buy Rimmel Scanaleyes Waterproof, Black. It’s only $5 and will do the best job... I have tried all brands from Urban Decay to Stila to Marc Jacobs. They say Waterproof but no matter what it still does smear some what...
Mascara, I don’t use this all the time but when I do, I use Lights, Camera, Lashes 4-1 by Tarte. Omg this this is a game changer. It’s the best mascara, nothing else has worked for me, I have long lashes but they’re kind flat and dull but this stuff brightens my eyes.. it’s $23 but worth it! A cheaper good option would be Rimmel’s scandaleyes Retro Glam, Black that runs about $7-$8. 💅🏼🧜🏼♀️
Now them eyebrows.. some people use some crazy dips and other brow crap but I’m basic haha... I love Anatasia Beverly Hills Brow Definer, it’s an angled brow definer which is super helpful. It’s $23, It lasts long and does a great job! I honestly do not use anything else.. if I were to throw in a cheaper option, i haven’t used this but heard good things about NYX micro brow pencil, it’s about $10 or so (just looked it up) 👀💕
Lips 👄
I am all about the lip stains right now. I do want to throw out there I heard amazing things about Lipsense, I still need to try this out.. let me know what your experience is with this stuff... anyways, I typically use ColorPop, for me it does dry out my lips but their colors are so pretty! I did recently find Maybelline New York SuperStay, it lasts long and works well so far! I also love the Anatasia Beverly Hills too! 💄
Some additional info...
If you want your makeup to stay super duper long, you can purchase an all over spray to help! It’s called All Nighter Spray by Urban Decay.. $32 its quite a bit but it works... another great option, which is cheaper, would be Mario Badescu, it’s only $7 but it works pretty damn great! 🙏🏼🤗
