Bangladeshi Steemit Frinds The internet will be slow until May 24th
The normal internet service of the country is being disrupted due to the maintenance of submarine cable under the Bay of Bengal. For that reason the Internet is running slowly in some areas of the country.
Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) Managing Director Moshiur Rahman said, the problem started in the data service since Friday. There will be a problem until May 24 under the maintenance of submarine cable in the Chennai part of India.
He said that arrangements have been made to provide bandwidth in alternative ways to prevent the internet service from being interrupted. But even then the obstacles can happen.
Moshiur Rahman said our bandwidth route has been changed from Cox's Bazar-Chennai-Singapore to Cox's Bazar-Bangkok-Singapore. And this is why the light problem has been created.
He said that after the start of the maintenance of submarine cable, BSCCL has shifted some bandwidth to the country's second submarine cable. The bandwidth usage of that cable has now increased from 180 GBps to 180Gbps.
The state-owned company currently supplies 300 Gbps bandwidth. And bandwidth demand in Bangladesh is 550 Gbps. The rest of the 250 Gbps are being imported from India
