Just My Imagination has always been one of the Cranberries songs that never fails to put a smile on my face. It just sounds hopeful to me, and fun.
It was the third single from their fourth album, Bury the Hatchet, which was released in 1999. Bury the Hatchet was the band's first album back after their three year sabbatical. Dolores had needed that time to recover from stress-induced diseases. Her first child, Taylor, was also born during this period.
Like Linger, this song was pared down and rereleased as an acoustic version on the album Something Else.
Thank you, yet again, for joining me on my trip through my favourite Cranberries songs.
Hugs
Tiny
