Entertaining Week in Jomtien City.

For most of last and this week it has being a very exciting couple of weeks with festivals and certain events going on entertaining the city of Jomtiien, since the country opened up to the world the government, is at his best to improve the economy for his people of Thailand, and it has taken off with a exhilarating start with a series of events that have been happening in Jomtien city, although I will say their is only a small amount of foreign tourist that have made it back here most of the people were Bangkok residence taking the advantage coming to this beautiful beach front city.

Jomtien city can be describe a little like California or Miami with palm and coconut trees lining the stretch of this beautiful 4km white sand beach their are many restaurants, bars and resorts located on the beach front and if you love street food there is a abundance to be found along Jomtien Beach Road. Jomtien city is less then an 2 hour drive from Bangkok city and on weekends you will find many residence from Bangkok city escaping the city life to be here for the weekend where they can enjoy the cheaper seafood and just relax on the beach while enjoying the cool breeze.

Last week we had the Loy Khrathong festival but this week we have had a few interesting and entertaining events to enjoy I myself found these events all very exciting back home in Australia we just don't see things like this happening due to tight regulations here in Thailand they seem to be more relaxed and you feel like your part of the event they make you feel very welcome. This Bird event they were holding was just amazing.

Never have I seen anything like this and been so close up to these beautiful birds was like an adrenaline rush on its own the Macaw Parrots with them beautiful long tails just stunning, I had only seen them at an Zoo in those big wire caged houses or in movies and here I was able to touch and play with them I can't describe the feeling I felt in words you just had to be there.

I couldn't believe how well tamed all these Parrots were they were letting them fly around the beach and they knew exactly which perch to come back and land on to get there treat for being a good bird I was just in awe seeing this I wanted to take one of these Macaw's home as a pet what amazing birds.

I was talking to one of the guys at this event and was asking him how do they get these beautiful birds so tamed and obedient to you, he said first a lot of love, patience's and many hours of training but all worthwhile he was saying and, I could see why I would love to be a proud owner of just one of these Macaw's.

The day after the Jet Ski Pro Tour 2021-Thailand started this is where all the provinces of Thailand come together to compete against each other a event that runs over a period of 4 days eliminating to the finalist. To enter the grand stand it cost me $5 US well worth it having a better view front seat and able to get some amazing photos of these Jet Skies in action the horsepower behind these Jet Skies was just incredible to see.

Its a event open for the men and women competing against each other and I tell you what some of those women out there were really kicking ass the incredible sounds and speeds these Jet Skies were getting up to was totally insane and dangerous but fascinating to watch.

There's certainly quite a few dollars flying around out there in order to be part of this sport not only thousands needed to get them Jet Skies to preform but the equipment, trailers and camper vans to get these Jet Skies around definitely a sport that requires lots of monies and sponsors. They had a few stores set up around selling Jet Skies, souped up motorbikes and all sorts of modified Jet Ski parts and engines if you were into this sport it was all here to buy.

And to top it off, talking about getting the country economy on its feet again by putting the interest and confidence back into the people to start them traveling again they were even having a horse show up the other end of the beach, it was by far a great day packed with entertainment even the dogs were trying get in on the act.

Jomtien city is certainly worth a visit if your even in Thailand its a city by far one of most affordable cities to holiday or maybe even retire in, as far as accommodation, entertainment and eating I have found myself living here very comfortable and safe there is never a dull moment and tropical weather all year round is which I love the most.
