While visiting this beautiful fishing town of Bang Saray, nearly a couple of weeks ago, I not only wondered around admiring there nice clean trendy town and there turquoise beach, but I also noticed this stunning sparkling tall temple in the middle of town calling me over and been a fan of temples and churches I just had to go over and admire the architectural design of this amazing temple.
The Wat Bang Saray Kongkaram also known as “Wat Nai” or “Wat Bang Saray Nai” what I have noticed here in Thailand the Thai people always seem to have several names meaning the same place or thing rather confusing when your trying to explain for directions to get there, so my advice to anyone visiting Thailand, always google and have the address in Thai, and also names and pictures to show your taxi driver or else you will end up in another direction.
Temple grounds are normally made up in three section, they may all look like temples but are actually not, normally one is temple for making your merits one a multi-purpose pavilion temple for meeting and ceremonies and the other one been a dormitory that also looks like a temple but in fact is the sleeping quarters for the Monks who live and sleep on the temple premises.

If you are into learning about world religions and love admiring temples well Thailand is the country for that, in the time I have been here I have seen many temples from the outside just by driving down the roads each town or province has there own architectural design of temple, Thailand is filled with magnificent Buddhist temples everywhere you go some dating back centuries, others younger that have just been completed and then the ones that are still been built.
The Merits Temple.
A couple of weeks ago I was at the Sanctuary of Truth Temple which was one astonishing temple fully made out of teak wood and everything was hand craved out, most temples in Thailand are made of wood and stone mixed and even with recycled beer bottles, ceramic and colored tiles to give them that glittering shine but no matter what mixture they are made of they all offer a sense of peace to visitor.
Talking about building temples out of beer bottles they have a temple in Thailand not sure what province it's in they call it the Temple of a Million Bottles (Wat Pa Maha Chedi Kaew) the whole of the temple structure consists of 1.5 million recycled glass bottles mainly green Heineken bottles and brown Chang bottles, I must make it a mission to go see this temple one day while I am still here.
The statue in the merit temple called the “Luang Phor Thong Yoo”, was a former Abbot of Wat Bang Saray Kongkaram Temple in Bang Saray District, it is him that they pray to for good health and safe life as he was known to be a very respectable and compassion Abbot.
On the opposite side of the merit temple was this long huge pavilion temple not only use for meeting and ceremonies, I was told they hold weekend markets in this pavilion and a percentage of the profits are donated in maintaining the temple grounds all part of team work.

I really love when they mix the Thai Chinese and Thai architectural design together, it just looks so much more elegant you see a lot of that around Thailand as the Chinese people were the first to migrant to Thailand many centuries ago and there culture is still heavily in Thailand. This was another stunning temple seen here today and looking forward to a visiting Bangkok, were the most amazing temples are to be seen.
Even the entrance to this temple is done in style and perfection like a scaled model of the actual temple on the arch entrance, these people really go that extra yard.
