When I was a very young lad, I attended a wedding in which a man stood up at the point of objection and exclaimed "You forgot the breadknife."
For the next 15 years my brother and I were convinced that it was a wedding tradition to have a breadknife and forgetting it was a mortal sin.
Turns out the guy was just nuts.
