few hours ago I ordered for ice cream ๐ฆ after saving up for it for some days ,Ugh, the craving hit me like a ton of bricks. You know that specific intense need for something sweet and cold, something that screams "treat yourself!" since the Sun is up and the weather is hot. So naturally I caved and ordered my favorite triple-scoop fantasy from that little ice cream shop down the street as iwas practically vibrating with anticipation picturing that first perfect spoonful.
Then the doorbell rang with all excitement building, I went to grab it from the delivery rider who looked a little flustered when I greeted him As I took the bag, I heard it โ a distinct sloshing and a faint crackling sound. I peeked inside and my heart sank. Two of the plastic containers were totally squashed, their glorious contents oozing out and mingling into a sad, colorful mess.
"Oh no!" I exclaimed holding up the damaged goods as the rider just shrugged, looking anywhere but at me. "Bad road," he mumbled like it was the most obvious thing in the world. "Must have been a pothole."
A pothole Really? I mean, I know our roads aren't exactly champagne-smooth, but to completely obliterate two containers? It felt more like he'd been playing bumper cars with the bag. So much for my triple-scoop dream, Now I'm left with a sticky slightly disappointing consolation prize. Guess I'll be meticulously picking out the salvageable bits and trying not to dwell on what could have been The ice cream gods were clearly not on my side today.
