surely there should be alot of improvement in Liverpool's defence this season because:

1. virgil van dijk is back from injury as we all know he is a world class defender, which has helped Liverpool alot .

during the 2019 campaign he was nominated for the Ballon d'Or in which Lionel messi won it with few points ahead of him.

van dijk came second in the Ballon d'Or race, he played over 40 matches without been dribbled past and not conceding any yellow card

this performance was great and if a defender can compete for the Ballon d'Or he is outstanding .

his arrival will surely strengthen the defence of the team.

1. gomez also will be available so they are good to go for the new season
