From a halo round the dream of a God
Beyond thought or logic
Or the calculus of insanity,
Risen from the ashes of the world
At the end of history
Into the inexhaustable furness of now.
Dreamt by the soil and the sun,
Shaped by the wind and the soft persuasion of rain,
Conjured into electric flesh from the dust of timeless stars.
Hot,
Burning,
Combusting,
We lay together two
Lazy flames:
Slow roasting love,
Making embers of every touch
Every glance.
Each scent and taste incendiary.
The wet fire of our living bodies yearning
for dissolution in the hearth of the other.
