Welcome to the world of the #DeepThinker, a myth-busting, truth-seeking, and a fact-checking blogger whose controversial stance started with debunking Christendom fables or old wives' tales, urban legends, "fallen angel" stories, mythic evils, and false prophecies. ^^
Since we're all aware of various belief systems, what can we do about these ancient tales that could either paralyze us with fear or weaken our confidence in life? Imagine what could happen if a person believes that his boss is Satan, or if her husband is the Antichrist, or that the world is about to end? You know that ignorance, superstition, and lack of education are the triggers in spreading such myths in every community in this so-called post-truth age. It is getting tiresome and the lies are contaminating Bible-believers everywhere. So what would you do?
"A lie gets halfway around the world before the truth has a chance to get its pants on." ~ Mark Twain
What do we do with misinformation and disinformation pedlars? Fact-check them and bust their myths!
If you're a Bible-believer, I'd like you to go through the articles here with all readiness of mind. I want you to think with me and question such beliefs in Adam and Eve [as the parents of humankind], the Great Deluge [global flood], 666 [the sign of the devil], 'disembodied state' [soul disconnected from the body], or 'Doomsday' [the last day of Earth's existence].
At this point let me warn you about the mental and emotional conflict that you're going to experience; it's cognitive dissonance:
"The feeling of uncomfortable tension which comes from holding two conflicting thoughts in the mind at the same time."
That said, you have to test your views. I'm expecting that the uncommon information you're about to read here will affect your current perspective. But if you're really open to an alternative interpretation, you'll be interested in understanding my point of view as well.
If you feel me, congratulations! If, like most of us, you're still looking at every angle, then ask yourself: "What would I do with this different view?"
My answer to that question would be:
