I can remember that day like it was just yesterday lol馃槄. It was a Monday just like every other Monday, but this particular Monday, I overslept because I over trusted my alarm. I had set 4 different alarms to wake me up but funny enough I didn't hear any of them ring. When I woke up that Monday, I quickly looked at the time...I had just 30 minutes left to get to my place of work...I hurriedly brushed my teeth, took my bath, and put on the new clothes I just bought 3 days earlier. I was so tense that I didn't even look at myself in the mirror like I always do before leaving for work.
When I got to the office that day, I noticed the way everyone fazed at me including my boss. I was a bit confused at first but then i remembered I wore new clothes I haven't worn to the office before I felt that was the reason they all had their eyes fastened unto me. I at some point began to move in a way just to draw their attention to my new clothes lol. But as the day progressed. I just began to feel like something was wrong somewhere. I began to ask myself series of questions "is the combination bad?" " does my shirt have stains at the back?" Well, during my free time, I went to one of the restrooms, to at least check myself properly not too long after looking at myself in the mirror. I noticed I wore my shirt inside out not just that, I also turned it backwards馃槀...I quickly wore it correctly and returned back to my desk hoping no one saw the mistake I made馃槀 and of course that was just a wish not too long after, my boss came to me and asked "Are you starting a new fashion trend or did you just forget to look at yourself in the mirror this morning?" I became really ashamed and explained my mistake to him. He couldn't help but laugh at what I said. He then said it wasn't an issue...but then the embarrassment stayed with me for the rest of the day馃槀.
To make matters worse, a few of my colleagues ( at my place of work) that saw me that very day teased me about it for weeks. Each time I wore that shirt they always asked me if I had checked it to confirm if I wore it properly that morning. It was a running joke in the office for months.
That wasn't all Just as they gradually began to forget about the mistake I made, another embarrassing moment came this time I had to give a presentation to a group of clients I was aware of this long before that day so i had enough time to prepare myself that very day, I had carefully chosen my outfit that day of course wanting to look good Little did I know I didn't button up my shirt correctly i noticed my shirt wasn't really balanced on me after I putted it on but I didn't care to check why it wasn't balanced...i didn't notice this until I was up at the front of the room in front of those clients
that a friend of mine told me right in my ear I quickly asked for permission to use the toilet and I quickly repositioned my shirt the right way and tried to carry on with the presentation but I could see the coded smile on everyone's face including my boss馃槀.
Me remembering all this, I just realize it was a very silly mistake that turned into a hilarious memory.
