the amount that someone needs to be financially independent depends on the individuals goals and also the country where he or she is from,for example someone from india might find 10000$ as a money to become financially independent while someone from USA might think such amount is not enough,so it depends on the country and also what the individual consider as being big or small..but as for me i think if i have 50000$ i will consider myself to be really hugely financially independent..
