Both the Bible and Quran confirm it that on the judgment day every man will be gathered together like flocks and the person that will gather us together is our owner which is the Great shepherd,I am going to be laying more emphasis on The bible because I am a christian and I have little idea of the Quran.
Shepherd
This is a person whose job is to take care of the sheep, the word shepherd are used for many people in the bible .And the example of people known as shepherd in the bible are:
- Abel (genesis 4:2).
- Abraham (Genesis 13:2).
- Lot (Genesis 13:5).
- Laban (Genesis 4:2).
- Moses (Exodus 3:1).
- Jesus (John 10:11). etc.
Shepherds
Sheep
A Sheep is a quadrupedal ruminant animals kept typically as livestock. Whenever we talk about shepherd, there is a need for us to know that there can't be a shepherd without a sheep or flock of sheep.....
The Bible made it clear that a good shepherd is he that lays down his life all because of his sheep(John 10:11) and also the Bible make it clear that if there is sheep without shepherd the sheep will just be going without knowing where it's heading to (Matthew 9:26).
Jesus is the good shepherd that know the right way he can direct we she sheep, all we have is do is to be submissive to him, allow him to direct us in the right path we should follow.
Thank God we have a good shepherd leading us(Jesus) and He knows where we are going,He have a good thought for us and he said His thoughts are not ours (Isaiah 55:8)
If you are yet to accept Jesus Christ to be the shepherd of your life, do that today remember what Matthew 25:32 says "we shall be gathered in the front of God" and God is going to practice what we known to be selection in a part of agriculture I.e. the selection of good seed/breed from those that are not in good condition. Before we proceed what do you think can cause what God has said? There is nothing else that can cause it than our behavior, definitely what God want from us is to be a good breed and without blemish, after being what he want that's when he will now select us to be in his side and his promise to give us a better end will now come to pass
Responsibilities of a good sheep
- A good sheep must obey the master (Hebrew 13:7)
- A good sheep must seek the shepherd direction (Proverbs 3:6)
- A good sheep must be able to recognize the shepherd voice.
Flock of Sheep
The Goat
Goats are ruminant animals with hollow horn, there are two types of goat in all countries where the bible is written, one is the normal size goat that is very common and the other is different in ear size and length, its of a greater length.
Goats are wicked, stubborn ,and disobedient. This is the reason why the bible compare those with adamant heart with the goat. Anyone who doesn't obey God commandment/instructions is a goat.
Characteristics of a Goat.
- They are not satisfied.
