There are some places where you don't need to travel far to find a beautiful view.
For me, that place is Pokhara, a city in Nepal.
After three continuous days of rain, the sky finally cleared and it felt like the whole city had been washed clean. The clouds disappeared, the air felt fresh, and the mountains that had been hidden for days suddenly appeared in all their glory.
These photographs were taken from three different places: one from my home, one on my way to work, and another from a place where the entire Pokhara Valley opens up with the mountains in the background.
And somehow, every view felt equally magical.
From home, the mountains looked incredibly close and powerful against the deep blue sky. On my way to work, I could see them rising beyond the everyday rhythm of the city roads, people, vehicles and all the little things that make up an ordinary morning.
But from a higher viewpoint, the scene changes completely. The vast Pokhara Valley stretches below, surrounded by layers of green hills, while the snow covered Himalayan range stands quietly in the distance. It is one of those views that makes you pause for a moment and simply take it all in.
The clearness after the rain made everything look sharper the blue of the sky, the green of the hills, the white of the mountains and even the little details of the valley.
Perhaps that's what I love most about Pokhara. The mountains aren't just somewhere you visit. They are part of everyday life.
They are there when I wake up, when I leave for work, when I'm travelling through the city, and when I simply look outside for a moment.
After three days of rain, seeing them again felt like a little reminder of how lucky I am to call this place home.
So blessed to live in a place where every journey can come with a mountain view, and where even an ordinary day can feel extraordinary.
Pokhara, you never really let me get tired of looking at you.
