Helpful Suggestions from the Community - Community Input Requested for the Welcome Page

In the Steemit Welcome Page, there is a section of "Helpful Posts from Steemit Users". I would like to add a post that has a collection of helpful suggestions from the community!

Please add your input in the comments below :-)

[Edit] Please try to keep the comments on topic of 'suggestions from the community'. Talking about changes to the platform, the roadmap, etc. are all great conversations to have - but this post (which new users will be reading for advice on getting started with the platform) is not the best place to have those discussions ;)

Note - Everything above this line will be removed after the 24 hour payout window closes. The final post will just have everything below this line. The post tile will also be changed back to just "Helpful Suggestions from the Community".

This post is a collection of helpful suggestions from the community!
