LeBron James is now a Los Angeles Laker. He accepted a 4 year 153 million dollar deal, which I believe is a good move for LeBron. I'm sure the Lakers aren't done this offseason, I expect another big signing, either Boogie, or PG, as well as a possible trade go bring Kawhi Leonard to the Lakers. Does this mean LeBron sold out? I dunno about that, it doesn't feel the same as when he took his talents to South Beach.
I'm no fan of LBJs, I've always felt he could've done more, but this makes sense. The Cavs blew this one, they had James, and instead of putting decent players around him, they traded an allstar for an injured Isaiah Thomas. Does this mean the Lakers are now a favorite? Not hardly, they are at best the third best team in the west as it stands. In all honesty, even with getting Kawhi and another big free agent, they're still not going to be as talented as Golden State.
The Cavs will return to being the bottom feeders of the east, while the Lakers are now a lock for the playoffs. It will be interesting seeing LeBron in the western conference for the first time, and see if he can run the gauntlet that will be the wester conference playoffs. How do you feel about this move?
