My recent encounter on biawak (Sabahan local name) at Dalit Bay Golf Club remind me of the aligator. Although this reptile is harmless at the golf fairway, golfers should always take extra care. Their shyness from humans drive them away to the pond. The local people hunt them for their meat..but not at the golf course as they are protected in this area.
