100 Bitcoins is currently valued at around $650k. Selling that amount immediately has two main problems:

  • Moving the price: Whilst a large exchange may handle over $100m in Bitcoin v USD volume each day, the depth of the market at any point in time is nowhere near that amount. So 100 Bitcoins is going to eat through everyone's buy orders and you will end up selling well below the market price. If you are selling into a different currency or into altcoins the situation will be worse. So selling a few coins at a time may get you a better deal overall.
  • Withdrawal limits and bank fraud flags. No matter which exchange you are using there will be withdrawal limits on how much you can remove from that exchange on any one day. If you are exchanging to fiat and transferring to your bank there are also fraud / money laundering flags that may freeze your funds. It's worth understanding what your limits are and how you can increase them to the desired amount. It may also be worth talking to your bank if your heading to fiat.

It may also be worth considering the tax implications of any sale for such a large amount of money.

Just my opinion and should not be considered financial advice. Do your own research.
