If you are manually voting then, unless your vote is large (i.e. 50c or more), using 10 full (100%) votes per day is as good approach as any.

The key then is to find the 10 best curation opportunities each day and throw your votes at those.  The times in between the votes doesn't make too much difference.

In terms of timing two rules are:

• Never leave your vote power at 100% - since this wastes vote power.
• Do not vote very small amounts - since these can result in your vote or curation rewards being below the minimum threshold (hence the 10 x 100% approach).

An alternative is to trail one of the top curation bots, although you will always get smaller rewards than them since they vote before you.
