I would change the following:

1) A complete overhaul of the way posts are filtered and found

Currently there is only new / hot / trending for the overall blockchain and for different tags. New is full of spam; hot and trending are largely dominated by bid-bots. It's very hard to find quality.

I would introduce the possibility to recommend posts and the possibility to follow the recommended posts "curated" by particular users within certain tags.

For example when I visit the fiction tag, rather than seeing trending fiction, I would instead see fiction posts from the last 14 days recommended by my favourite fiction curators. When I visit crypto I would see crypto posts from the last 14 days recommended by my preferred crypto curators. I would find my curators from a list of those users who put themselves forwards as curators within each tag.

In overall trending I would see the top posts from the overall top curators (i.e. those that most people use as their preferred curators). And when I visit my favourite curators they would have a listing of their current top posts for each tag (in a separate curation section from their blogs).

You could even introduce a system under which the curators that I follow within a tag get a small commission from any upvote I make on posts that they have curated, giving them an incentive to curate really good posts.

2) A longer window over which posts can be upvoted

I know that most upvotes are made in the first hour of a post, so extending the reward window may not be currently useful. But it would be great to have longer reward windows so that greater time could be justified on the writing of each post.

3) Presentation of layout

I would improve the overall layout in various ways: (a) Lots of feed columns - my fiction column, my photos column - or an instagram style view (b) Greater possibility to personalise my blog page - like a real blog (c) Possibilities to pin my best old posts in a separate space (d) Improved markdown and visuals.
