SBD is the natural currency to do this. It's role in the Steem ecosystem is exactly to be a stable coin and most of the mechanisms described above are already in place...

Another case in point would be steem monsters. Yes your cards "belong" to you but the way they are randomly selected is not verifiable. The same for the combat system, from what I understand.

Indeed. But applications already have the ability to give new accounts to users. They just have to pay for it in STEEM. Of course that requires initial investment, which is a difference to other blockchains.
