one of the issues I have (Eternals is an example) is retconning characters into someone completely different than what they were in the comics for purely political reasons, at the cost of good storytelling.

The MCU is still making a ton of money, but nowhere near as much as they could be. I haven't seen the new Ant-Man movie as yet, but it sounds like there are some serious plot holes in it. Upside, the actor who plays Kang is a fine actor, so interested in seeing how he shapes up in this role as Kang is the new superbad for this phase of the MCU.
