great write-up and a great choice. Back when Ralph Bakshi's Lord of the Rings was released, I went to see it with my Tolkien Fellowship - in costume. I was the group's Boromir, just kind of worked out that way. Anyway, at the movie, unsurprisingly for a group of college kids, I snuck in a bota bag filled with wine, and we passed it back and forth and got pleasantly buzzed during the movie. Not the kind of thing you can do these days, and some theaters serve beer and wine, so no reason to sneak on your own anymore.
