I mentioned the plateau I visited a few days ago. The main purpose of the plateau is beehives. My friend's father has beehives there. While he takes care of the bees, he also does small-scale farming in the flat area. Water was necessary for farming in that region. He managed to bring water there from the opposite mountains, over the hills, using pipes.

This is alfalfa. It was harvested once before, this is the second harvest. There will be another harvest before the end of the year. This winter was very long. If the winter hadn't been so long, we could have even done 4 harvests by the end of the year.

A small number of sunflowers were planted... Since only a small amount was planted, they will use the seeds. I really like the wonderful sight that sunflowers create; it fascinates me. They could increase the number a little more next year.

Corn planted alongside beans. This year, because the beans didn't grow or sprout enough, corn was planted in the same area. We roasted a few ears of corn over a fire. To be honest, I didn't particularly like the taste. Roasted corn always tastes better, and adding salt enhances its flavor a bit.

Beans. A type of bean native to this region. It's called Hınıs bean. I've eaten it a few times; the beans are large. It makes a very delicious dish. I'm thinking of planting a small area of them in my garden next year.

These are beehives. I estimate there are around 70, including the traditional hives. Some of the bees died this year due to the intense winter and snowfall. Bees are usually moved to warmer places during the winter, but the winter was harsh in that region as well.
