Perhaps one of my favorite species.
Ranitomeya Vanzolinii
The Ranitomeya Vanzolinii (formerly D.Vanzolinii) is a fingernail size frog that is quite stunning to look at. The amazing lemon yellow spots and black color make it look quite remarkable. The size, makes it stunning!
They used to be very common in their natural habitat that ranged from parts of Peru to Brazil. They however have been victims to habitat loss as well as illegal cultivation.
There are several groups that are working to help save these and many more species. By regulating their trade and breeding them in captivity some exporters have managed to sustain other species. Some groups have helped to reintroduce nearly or extinct species back into their habitats.
We have been lucky to work with such amazing species and we hope you guys can enjoy this images of the fruitful work we did with Ranitomeya Vanzolinii.
