Splinterlands: Dark Energy Crystals Overview

What are these Dark Crystals you might ask. Here is a basic guide on how they work and why they rock.

1. What are they?
   Dark Energy Crystals or DEC are a commodity you can receive by a number of different ways. Each card has dark energy and this dark energy can be drained and collected.

2. How to I get DEC (:*Using alpha, gold foil, and promo cards along with win streaks will increase the drop amount)
   *The most common way to receive DEC is from winning matches in splinterlands.
   *You may also melt a card down and receive a certain amount of DEC. The amount of DEC varies card to
   card depending on the rarity and how many cards have been combined.
   *You can buy (or sell) DEC on steem-engine.com

3. What can I do with DEC?
   *A new feature on Steem-Monsters is a DEC market place. Here you can buy orbs, potions,or skins.

4. Potions

• There are four different types of potions
  1. Legendary-increase in Legendary card drop %
     2.Alchemy-increases in gold foil card drop %
     3.Quest-Increase in daily quest card amount
  2. Mystery -a chance to receive a daily mystery card drop

1. Orbs
   *Orbs are essentially a card pack. you will receive 5 cards from the wind of change collection with one card guaranteed to be rare or higher

6.Skins
*These are specialty and limited art on the card and just like cards them self they are owned by you once purchased.
