That's the cool part about Psychetology. When you believe "what the thinker thinks the prover proves" because it is a general truism, you realize it also helps you to know that the world or universe is out to help you. And once you accept that, you've essentially tasked your inner prover to do the gratitude exercises automatically.

The affirmation is a technique for making gratitude come on its own when we cannot actively appreciate things. But yeah, this knowing is super deep, and one can take it almost anywhere. It might be the duct tape that holds the universe together or the twist ties that stops it from falling apart. 😃

It essentially speaks to the fact that we humans are always unconsciously doing the confirmation bias thing. And this activity can alter our course and ultimately lead us to what we were expecting, whether good or bad. So when we start looking for the best in things; Lookout, world! A change is going to come. Oh, yes, it will! I struggle with it too at times because it's also not an excuse to ignore real and present dangers, and there's a whole lot of that going on as of late.

Maybe the following is an even better way to explain it. Our confirmation bias alters how we view reality. And that, in turn, changes our experience and reality itself as time moves forward. Thus it is sometimes in our best interest to be on the lookout for the good things. If good things happen and no one is there to appreciate it, did it make an impact?

And this is why we have to observe the good things so that they become real enough to make an impact on the world by making an impact on the observer. I better stop. I can't tell if everything I just said was pure genius, borderline madness, or both. 😃

"Skillful spontaneity," I like that!
