Hey, thanks for the reblog, @thethreehugs! You are correct. This movie probably would give you nightmares. It's a pretty scary flick, from what I recall. But once you pierce through the mystery of it all, you realize that the Vodou priest is just a bully that drugs people and plays on their superstitions. I guess it depends on what lens you view it through. If you're tripping balls and subscribe to a religion, it might be an entirely different experience than if you do not practice religion. There's a fine line between hallucinating and seeing demons, and it may all boil down to how we subjectively interpret the bits of reality we observe.
