Well, AIDS is generic. It just means that someone has acquired an immune deficiency. There are many ways that a person's immune system can get run down or diminished. However, regarding HIV, I mean it could be the virus exists, but it may not necessarily mean that's what causes people's immune system to fail. Considering that they treated people diagnosed with HIV from PCR tests with AZT makes the immune deficiency a self-fulfilling prophecy regardless.
